Spain's Green Coast isn't the Spain you see on postcards. Costa Verde is misty cliffs, hidden fishing villages, and towns most travelers never find. In this video, I take you through Santander, the Altamira cave paintings, medieval Santillana del Mar, quiet Avilés, and Cudillero, a Viking-founded harbor town that might be the most beautiful place I've ever photographed.

Along the way: why overcast light is a gift for photographers, how to shoot a village at its own pace, and the honest story behind a failed long-exposure shot (tripod, always bring the tripod).

Locations featured:
Santander — Bahía de Santander, Playa del Camello, Matalenas Beach, Magdalena Palace, Botín Center
Altamira Museum — replica cave, prehistoric paintings
Santillana del Mar — medieval streets, historic town
Avilés — Plaza de España, Calle Galiana, Tierra Astur
Cudillero — harbor, classic car show, local café

Bilbao and San Sebastián sit forty minutes apart on Spain's Basque Coast and could not be more different from each other. One reinvented itself through architecture. The other never had to.

In this video, I take you through Bilbao's Guggenheim Museum exterior and the Nervión River waterfront, across to the Belle Époque elegance of San Sebastián's La Concha Beach, through the Pintxos bars of the old town — and up a hill we were never supposed to be on.

This is the Basque Country through a photographer's eye. The visual contrast, the food culture, the light, and what happens when you take a wrong taxi to the wrong mountain at sunset.

In this video:

Photographing the Guggenheim Bilbao exterior — how to find a fresh angle on the world's most photographed building

Walking the Nervión River and Salve Bridge — Bilbao's industrial waterfront as a visual subject

San Sebastián's La Concha Beach and old town — shooting coastal light differently than city light

Pintxos culture — how to photograph food as visual storytelling, not food photography

Monte Igueldo — what happens when the taxi drops you in the wrong place entirely

How to give two cities their own visual identity in one video

Locations featured in this video:

Nervión River waterfront — Bilbao, Spain
Salve Bridge — Bilbao, Spain
La Concha Beach — San Sebastián, Spain

From the Gothic spires of Burgos to the underground wine cellars of La Rioja's Bodega Lecea, this is northern Spain's wine country through a photographer's eye. I share my Northern Spain photography from my travels.

Most people visit Spain for the famous landmarks, but the real story is often hidden in the quiet spaces in between. Join me as we step away from the crowded plazas to explore the unphotographed corners of the Spanish countryside, from ancient Gothic cathedrals to century-old wine cellars.

In this journey, I start my travels in Burgos, Spain. I show you what happens when you stop chasing the perfect postcard shot and start looking for the truth of a place. We travel through the ornate Gothic architecture of Burgos. Then we head into the La Rioja wine region, the rolling hills of vineyards that have been producing wine for over 2,000 years.

We explore Spain's wine country, including Briones, the San Asensio bodega, the Sajazarra village, wine and food at Sierra Cantabria, and the silent Renaissance streets of Lerma. Whether you are an artist, photographer, or traveler, this video is about finding the poetry in the rhythm of everyday life.

Throughout the video, I share practical photography tips for capturing complex structures, exposing for stained glass without losing detail, and embracing the shadows in low-light environments like underground bodegas. We also discuss why avoiding trendy filters can help your work feel more timeless and why it is so important to stay present in a moment rather than just documenting it. I also offer a travel guide download if you want to learn more.

Three ancient cities. One question. What does it mean to travel somewhere with a camera and actually see it? WATCH till the end for a FREE photography field guide offer!

In this video, I take you through Madrid's Prado Museum and Plaza Mayor, into the shadow of Segovia's Roman Aqueduct and Alcazar, and through the layered history of Toledo, a city where Christians, Muslims, and Jews built within blocks of each other for centuries.

Step into ancient Spain and discover how three remarkable cities redefined the way to see light and time. This is a direct journey through Madrid, Segovia, and Toledo. It offers a thoughtful experience through the art of seeing as an artist.

I offer a unique relationship between light, history, and architecture in Madrid, Segovia, and Toledo. Artistic lessons learned from the masterworks in the Prado and the timeless cityscapes outside. And the importance of staying present to capture unplanned, authentic moments.

You'll find practical photography tips for capturing ancient spaces. And learn about generational traditions in dining and the stories behind iconic Spanish dishes. This is not a tourist guide. It is what an artist sees when she slows down long enough to look.

In this video:
Madrid's Prado Museum — standing in front of the actual brushwork of the old masters
Plaza Mayor — how to photograph 17th-century architecture in evening light
Bodega de los Secretos — shooting underground stone cellars in near darkness
Segovia's Roman Aqueduct — how to honor something that has outlasted every human system that built it
The Alcazar of Segovia — the fairy tale castle and what it actually feels like to stand at the base of it
Segovia Cathedral — the last Gothic cathedral built in Spain and why that matters
Restaurante Duque — the ceramic plate ceremony and the moment that stopped the room
Toledo Cathedral and El Greco's masterpiece — The Burial of the Count of Orgaz
How to slow down and find the real image in a crowded tourist destination

Are you letting your most meaningful creative work gather dust on a hard drive? After thirty years as a professional photographer, I realized that my personal projects were the very thing keeping my artistic soul alive, yet I was too afraid to share them. In this video, I explore how to move past the fear of not being good enough and how to finally start seeing the world through a different lens.

For decades, I kept my most personal imagery buried in a closet because I told myself it was not polished or ready. I have learned the hard way that fear is a very convincing liar, often disguised as high standards. We discuss why the work you make for yourself is actually what defines you as an artist and how to reclaim that creative instinct before it is lost to burnout or neglect.

I also share my specific process for finding unique perspectives in crowded places. Instead of focusing on gear or technical composition right away, I ask one simple question: What does this place feel like? Whether you are standing in a historic cathedral or your own living room, learning to capture a feeling rather than just a frame will transform your photography.

It is time to look at your hidden folders and sketchbooks differently. Your work deserves to exist in the world not because it is perfect, but because it is true.

This is the pro gear, tools, and software I use to create my work: https://sherioneal.com/best-photography-gear-software-tools-as-creative/

In this video, artist Rafe Carlson shares his career journey over the past four years. He talks about what he has learned about being a sonwriter and performer, from playing local bar gigs in northern Minnesota to leading national tours, selling out venues, and building a devoted grassroots following. I talk with Rafe about what's changed, how he's grown as a performer, and the lessons he's learned on the business side of being an independent artist. We discuss the creative decisions that keep his music authentic in an industry full of trends.

From the challenges of touring life and building a reliable band, to the impact of social media and the influence of Nashville's songwriting community, Rafe opens up about finding balance, maintaining his unique sound, and what aspiring musicians need to know to make their own dreams a reality. Whether you're an artist yourself or just passionate about creative journeys, this episode offers insight, inspiration, and a behind-the-scenes look at what it really takes to turn musical dreams into lasting careers.
