Who is Sheri Oneal?
Sheri Oneal is a nationally recognized photographer, fine artist, writer, and creative mentor. With over three decades of experience, she blends professional photography, mixed media art, and heartfelt storytelling to empower artists and creatives. Through her online platforms, including The Creative Push podcast, Learn & Create, and her Substack, Sheri shares honest insights, practical tips, and inspiration for living a fulfilling creative life. Her mission is to help others turn their creativity into confidence, purpose, and opportunity.
In her words…
I have worked as a commercial photographer for most of my life, offering my services for ad campaigns, magazines, marketing companies, and independent businesses. I have created all kinds of professional imagery for my clients- people, lifestyle, travel, culture, architecture, and product photography are just a few.
Creativity lives at the intersection of my passions as an artist, a writer, and an educator. Whether I’m crafting personal stories, fine art, or hands-on creations like jewelry and mixed-media decor, what fulfills me most is sharing this journey with others.
For over 25 years, I’ve mentored young adults, led workshops, and even guided students through a travel abroad photography course in Ecuador. My teaching journey began at Daytona State College, launching an ASMP business course pilot program, a natural extension of my 25+ years as an active ASMP member, where I volunteered as newsletter editor, Vice President, and President for both Orlando and Nashville chapters. Later, I spent a decade teaching photography, marketing, and business at Nossi College of Art.
In 2010, I channeled creativity into the Nashville community and founded “ReTune Nashville,” a nonprofit that transformed flood-damaged musical gear into art, raising relief funds for uninsured musicians.
This life of creation and service fuels my belief that inspiring others is the greatest art form. Now, I’m building an online platform to share 30+ years of knowledge through courses, eBooks, interviews with fellow creators, and practical resources.
